Weinstock, Herbert

Musicologo (Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1905 - New York 1971). Studiò nella città natale, si trasferì poi a Chicago, e quindi a New York per dirigervi le edizioni della "Alfred A. Knopf Inc.". Ha pubblicato: The opera: a history of its creation and performance (1941); Tchaikovsky (1943); Haendel (1946); Chopin: the man and his music (1949); Donizetti and the world of opera in Italy, Paris and Vienna in the first half of the 19^th century (1963); Rossini, a biography (1968); Vincenzo Bellini: his life and operas (1971).
